                    NWAFUers Won the Championship of COFCO Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

                      On December 20th, the 2019 COFCO Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition National Finals hosted by COFCO group was held in Beijing COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute. All three projects of NWAFU that promoted to the finals won awards. Among them, the “Dairy Cow Disease and Oestrus Detector” project, led by Wang Bingke, PhD student of the College of Medicine, won the championship.

                      With the theme of agricultural production, food health and biomedicine, the competition has set up four sub competitions in Xi'an, Qingdao, Shenzhen and Beijing, attracting nearly 1500 excellent projects. After the selection of regional competitions, 11 campus projects and 10 social projects from NWAFU, China Agricultural University and China Ocean University were shortlisted in the finals.After the road show defense in the final scene, one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes were selected. In addition to the champion project, the “Seedling Plan” project led by Dr. Hao Xinyi ofCollege of Horticulture won the second prize, the “Color Potato Industrialization” project led by Fu Yukun, an undergraduate student of College of Landscape Architecture and Arts won the third prize.
